- לִחְלֵחַ
- לִחְלֵחַ(redupl. of לחח, v. לַח) to moisten. Nithpa. נִתְלַחְלֵחַ to be moistened. Gen. R. s. 36 (expl. איש האדמה, Gen. 9:20) שבשבילו נִתְלַחְלְחָה האדמה since for his sake the ground became moist again (cmp. Gen. R. s. 33, end, quot. s. v. גְּרִיר). Y.Sabb.IV, 6d bot. יבישין שנִתְלַחְלְחוּ dry (plants) which have been moistened again, opp. לחין מחמת עצמן, v. לַה.
